Can I turn off the chatbot when needed?

This tutorial will guide you through the process of turning your chatbot on or off. This is useful when you want to make changes to your chatbot’s story or media block. The process for activating or deactivating a chatbot is simple and can be done in a matter of seconds.

Step 1

Log into your account on Botsify and from the top right drop down select the chatbot for which you want to create a story. In this example, we are using the chatbot labelled “My First Bot” so we'll select it from the home.

Step 2

Once you have selected the chatbot, you will automatically be redirected to the dashboard. Move the cursor towards the vertical menu on the left side of the screen and select “Settings”.

To deactivate a chatbot simply click on the box “Turn off your chatbot” button shown in “General Settings” option.

Step 3

The chatbot has now been successfully deactivated and you can make changes without any hindrance. Once the changes have been made, you can follow the same steps again to reactivate the bot.
