Bots do not see stickers as images or gifs, for them they are just urls. What we can do to make chatbot respond to stickers is a simple hack; but, we need sticker URL for that first.
So let’s get started.
STEP 1: Finding the URL of Sticker
First create a test story like shown in this screenshot:
Now go to messenger and type in emoji test. When bot says send it, click the “Like Button” in your messenger chat, you will then receive a url.
Copy this url for the next step.
STEP 2: Responding to Sticker
Go back to the Story you created and in user says select ‘Phrase match’.
Paste in the URL and in bot says type whatever reply you want to send. For example “like emoji”.
Now when you click Like Button it will respond “like emoji”.
You can set up responses for as many stickers as you want. And every time a user sends an emoji/sticker your bot will be able to answer them!
